Fort Saskatchewan is located 25 kilometers north east of Edmonton, Alberta. It is established along the
North Saskatchewan River and is bordered by Strathcona County to the South and East and Sturgeon
County to the North and West. The city has a population of 26,328 residents according to the 2018 municipal
census.
Fort Saskatchewan’s economy is mainly commercial and industrial, and the surrounding region is supported
by four petrochemical facilities: Dow Chemical, Sherritt International, Agrium and Shell Canada,
